Appointment guide
The optional guide suggests a starting point without asking for an email address. Answers are saved in session storage in your browser tab so you can return or edit them. They are sent to the salon only if you submit a stylist review request and are not used for marketing. Use Start again to reset the answers. Copy appointment notes writes the displayed summary to your clipboard only when you choose it; it does not send your answers to the salon.
Stylist review requests
When you select Send for stylist review, we store your name, email, guide answers, optional hair profile and planning details, notes, any photos you choose to upload, and a dated record of your permission for review and follow-up. Your optional consultation brief stays on this page until you submit it; it is not saved in browser storage. Requests are held in the website’s Cloudflare database; photos are stored privately and are available only to approved salon reviewers. Photos are resized in your browser, then decoded with size limits and re-encoded on the server before storage. The stored copy does not retain the original embedded metadata. Your email is required so a stylist can respond. Submitting does not create an appointment or subscribe you to marketing emails.
The salon reviews requests in a private inbox and replies separately by email. Automated acknowledgements and staff alerts are enabled only after the sending service has been connected and verified; a saved request is not proof of email delivery. Please avoid including other people in photos without their permission. Contact the salon to request access, correction or deletion of your request and photos. There is currently no automatic retention period. Archived requests remain stored until the salon deletes them. Interrupted uploads older than ten minutes can be removed by the salon’s recovery tool, and retrying an interrupted upload can safely replace its incomplete files.
Enquiries
When a form says Prepare email, it creates a draft in your own email app. Nothing is sent from this website and you decide whether to send it. Rental requirements and contact details can be reviewed on the page before preparing an email; they are not saved across visits. Only the room/chair/unsure preference may appear in the page URL. Copying notes uses your device clipboard. When the button says Submit enquiry or Submit viewing enquiry, your contact details, message and enquiry-specific answers are saved in the website’s protected Cloudflare database with a dated record of permission to contact you. Approved salon reviewers can assign and respond to enquiries in the private inbox. The site returns a reference after saving. Email notifications through Brevo are sent only when configured; a saved receipt does not prove email delivery. Details remain until the salon deletes the enquiry, and are not used for marketing. Contact the salon to request correction or deletion.
The Good Hair Edit and email interest
Newsletter forms ask for separate, explicit permission to receive hair advice, salon news and occasional offers. When you submit, we store your email address, signup page and placement, and a dated record of the consent wording in the website’s protected database. Duplicate signup records for the same email are prevented. This is an email-interest request, not proof of a confirmed subscription. Approved salon reviewers can view, export and remove these records.
If the sending service is not connected, your request is saved for a future confirmation invitation and newsletters have not started. When Brevo and the salon’s confirmation template are configured, the website can request a double-opt-in email; follow any confirmation link before salon emails begin. Provider acceptance is not proof of delivery or confirmation. Confirmed subscriptions and unsubscribe/suppression status are managed in the sending provider. Use the unsubscribe link in a salon email, or contact the salon to withdraw your request or have the website record removed. Records remain until the salon deletes them; any provider-held copies require separate handling. Email consent is independent of analytics, advertising and booking.
Technical form protection
Online form requests are validated and briefly rate-limited to reduce abuse. The service uses a temporary hashed network identifier for that limit. We do not put enquiry text or email addresses into visitor analytics.
Online appointments
Online booking opens Mangomint for salon appointments. Your name, contact details, service choice and appointment time are handled by that booking service to reserve and manage your visit. Review its privacy information before booking. Existing private Studio appointment links remain available to manage those appointments. Keep confirmation links confidential. Independent stylists may use their own booking services; review the information they provide before booking.
Browsing and optional measurement
Website hosting providers process technical information needed to serve and protect the site, such as requests and IP addresses. Optional tracking is off by default. Privacy choices in the footer lets you allow analytics and, when connected, separately allow advertising measurement and personalised ads when those features are connected. Your choice lasts six months on this device and can be changed at any time. Changing it stops future site events for that purpose. Previously granted analytics permission does not grant advertising permission.
With analytics permission, we record approved public page identifiers and events such as service exploration, guide steps and completion, gallery use, section visits, scroll milestones, engaged reading, article-body reading milestones, visible-time engagement estimates, article-end views, guide printing, sharing and link copying, reader text-size preferences, resource topics and search use, button placements, form starts and errors, best-effort form exits, saved enquiries and booking-link clicks. The website removes internal measurement records older than 90 days when it next receives a measurement event; in periods with no events, records can remain longer. These internal records contain only approved event names, public page paths, coarse interaction categories and approved campaign codes. They have no persistent visitor identifier. Reading completion means reaching the end after at least 30 visible seconds; it does not prove the guide was read or understood. Form exit counts mean leaving before acceptance was observed, not that a person will never complete the form. When Google Analytics is connected, it also receives page and event activity using cookies and technical device and network information. Google Analytics account retention is configured separately by the salon. Private reviewer pages are excluded.
With separate advertising-measurement permission, a connected Google Ads account may use advertising cookies and click identifiers to attribute saved review requests, saved enquiries and booking or telephone clicks to ads. A booking click is not a completed appointment; a phone click is not a connected call. We do not send client names, email addresses, notes, uploaded photos, guide answers or form field values to analytics or advertising services. A one-way hash of a receipt identifier may be sent to avoid counting a saved request more than once. Personalised advertising and Google signals are enabled only when the salon connects the feature and you give separate permission for personalised ads. This lets Google use your visits to tailor salon advertising. You can withdraw that permission in Privacy choices without changing whether you allow analytics.
With optional measurement enabled, approved campaign sources, media and numeric campaign IDs may be retained in this browser tab for 30 minutes of inactivity. Advertising click identifiers are included only with advertising permission. Only approved campaign-name codes and numeric creative IDs are accepted; free-text campaign names, resource-search text, search terms, arbitrary URL parameters and URL fragments are excluded from our event payloads. Withdrawing advertising permission clears the stored click identifiers; withdrawing all measurement permission removes the campaign record. Where possible, withdrawing permission also removes the related first-party Google cookies. Browser restrictions may affect cookie removal.
Studio handles existing private appointment links and, when connected, receives website enquiries and consultation briefs. Private review photographs stay in the website’s protected review inbox. Independent stylists’ booking sites, maps, Instagram and Ström Coffee have their own privacy practices. Private appointment links must be kept confidential. Marketing email consent is separate from booking and website measurement choices.
What to include
Please include only what we need to respond. Avoid sending payment details or sensitive health information through the enquiry tool. Careers applicants can attach their résumé in their email app.
Reading preferences
The Larger text control remembers only your preferred guide text size on this device. It does not store article text or personal information. Reading progress is calculated in the page; optional reading events are sent only with analytics permission.
